Bizarre Festival

BIZARRE, the queer festival initiated by À la folie and La Villette, holds two editions a year. Bearing witness to the vitality of artists and initiatives stemming from Parisian LGBTQIA+ communities, BIZARRE intends to channel their energies for two intense weekends, in a spirit of sharing, curiosity, and partying.

Deployed in three neighboring venues within the park of La Villette - Pavillon Villette, its best-kept secret, À la folie, iconic cultural venue of the queer scene and beyond, and Tsugi Radio’s studio - the packed program intersects identities, affinities, sensibilities and disciplines. After highlighting, in no particular order, tattoos, photo portraits, same-sex parents, Caribbean music, fanzines, emerging lesbian media, trans electronic artists, Vitalic, Paris’ most exciting techno collectives, American filmmaker John Cameron Mitchell and many more personalities, collective energies and ways of making culture, BIZARRE offers a renewal of angles and perspectives with each edition.
