Presentation
Gloria incarnates a utopia, an antidote to the chaos of the world. Sixteen joyous performers interact with a video projected in the back of the stage - the choreographer’s signature move. José Montalvo’s work blows apart the shackles of aesthetics and styles. He cunningly combines high and low-brow, profoundness and superficiality, genius and lightness.
Urban, classical, contemporary, traditional, and flamenco dances express themselves in a delightful sharing of virtuosities. The show, carried by both Vivaldi and gypsy jazz music, borrows its form from cabaret and its contagious feistiness from musicals. Silliness and elation blend together beautifully on a cosmopolitan stage where a hybrid party is in full swing.
