Shiro Takatani

ST/LL (pronounced still) is a show on suspended time, on this in-between we call the present, on the infinite fluctuations between calm and activity, immobility and movement. Do we know how to identify and recognize an infinitely small time? Do we pay attention to it? How can we perceive time and space? In this sense, what do science, poetry, imagination bring us? Created by the great Shiro Takatani, cofounder of the famous collective Dumb Type, with music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, ST/LL is a mirage-show, made of subtle encounters between four performers, of water, of projected images, of familiar tables and chairs, of sound tablecloths. A captivating series of apparitions and disappearances, that goes against the grain of one-upmanship and rushing.
